The project was an abandoned site when acquired two years prior to the completion of construction. The project entailed the demolition of the existing store and building a new larger footprint to allocate more retail square footage.
The project was a fast track design and build with collaboration with Erika Winters Design. The main concept of the project wasto enrich the city of Victorville with a common business of a gas station without the mondaine type of the everyday, but to be a resemblance of an Italian Villa.
The building has been constructed in light gage metal studs with a steel structure. Cladded in a smooth trowel finish stucco with three integrated colors. The mansard roof is a lightweight, beautifully replica of a clay roof, aluminum panel with a lifetime warranty Decra roofing system. The columns are cladded natural ledger stone.
The landscape is drought tolerant and native to the location. The Carwash has state of the art equipment and a durable industrial colored epoxy was used to protect the concrete of the tunnel.
At the front of the building a fountain was built to create an environment of serenity while drinking a coffee, meeting a friend or just enjoying a sandwich from the mini market.
